ABOUT
John Daniel Berning is a singer-songwriter residing in Summit County, Colorado, where he regularly performs. A former public educator, he moved to the Colorado high country in the fall of 2020 during the height of the COVID pandemic. It was during this time that he picked up the guitar with the intent of teaching himself how to play and sing, though not at all envisioning ever performing out in front of anyone.
Fast Forward to 2026, and you can find him regularly performing around Colorado, almost 100 shows a year! Some of his original music, including the albums TIME TO MEND and BELONGING, are streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, etc.
His style is folky at its core, with a range of inspiration from favorite artists past and present, including Tyler Childers, Jason Isbell, The Avett Brothers, The Beatles, Tom Petty, Lord Huron, Caamp, Wilderado, Jack Johnson, Gregory Alan Isakov, My Morning Jacket, Sturgill Simpson, O.A.R and a whole lot more.
